Role: Civil Engineer

Job Description:

Minimum five years’ experience. Civil Engineering degree or diploma. Must be capable of total job site control from start to end:

• Ensuring work quality meets or exceeds client standards and overseeing quality control and safety matters on the site, and ensuring that regulations are adhered to;
• Ensuring plans and specifications and site layout are accurate; surveying, setting out (marking the position of structures) and levelling the site;
• Liaising with consultants and scheduling of all subcontractors and material deliveries per the project timetable;
• supervising and monitoring the site labour force and monitoring the work of any subcontractors;
• supervising the final inspection process, preparing punch lists, and coordinating walk-through’s for customers, inspectors and management as needed;
• Supporting the Project Manager and the Construction Estimator in bidding for construction contracts and helping identify qualified subcontractors;
• Attending regular meetings with clients, architects and consultants, and keeping them informed of progress; keeping written work schedules and reporting progress to the Project Manager.
